Don’t miss the old shellfish pond on the south-western tip, the late 19th-century mansions lining Quiberon’s long beach, the history of shipwrecked boats at the Maison du Patrimoine, the Locmaria tower and its exceptional panoramic view of the bay, the botanical trail at the Ragot washhouse, or the charming villages of Kerné, Kernavest and Manémeur.
The islands of Quiberon Bay
Several companies offer boat trips from Quiberon to the islands in the bay: Belle-Île-en-Mer, Hoëdic and Houat are the three Ponant islands to be visited from Port Maria. Several round trips per day are scheduled for each island: 5 to 12 depending on the season for Belle-Île, and 2 to 5 for Houat and Hoëdic. Each of these islands, formerly linked to Quiberon, has its own charm: calm and serenity on the island of Houat, gentleness and authenticity on the island of Hoëdic, contrasting landscapes and picturesque villages on Belle-Île-en-Mer.

If you don’t have time to visit the islands in the bay, don’t hesitate to take a stroll around Quiberon’s harbors: Port Maria, a former sardine port, has Brittany’s second-largest municipal fish market after Lorient. Port Haliguen is Quiberon’s main marina. It hosts numerous nautical events.
