Around 20 minutes from the campsite in La Baule and its magnificent beach, the Croisic peninsula is a wild coastline full of gentle beauty. You can discover its 16th-century architectural charm. If you need a breath of fresh air, you can take the coastal path. Between sand, rock and seawater, Le Croisic is sure to seduce you with its natural and historic landscapes. In Le Croisic, every Monday evening in July and August, you’ll find plenty of entertainment on the quays of the marina. Take a stroll around the night-time craft market, where you’ll find a festive atmosphere. During your visit to the peninsula, you can also visit the Océarium, an exciting journey to meet sharks and coral fish.

A walk or bike ride near La Baule
La Baule has something for everyone who loves a good walk! Between footpaths and cycle paths, there’s no shortage of possibilities:
Le Vieux Croisic: This trail will take you back to the 16th and 17thᵉ centuries along the streets and quays of Le Vieux Croisic. Set off on a short 1.5km walk. The Chemin des douaniers: This famous trail links Saint-Nazaire and Mont-St-Michel along around 500 km of footpaths. Along the way, you can discover all the secrets and landscapes of Brittany. Discover the wild coastline from Le Croisic to Le Pouliguen in 9 km, by bike or on foot.

Rural escapade: You’ll discover the western part of Le Croisic, the rare part of the peninsula where the land stretches right down to the sea, unhindered by urban development. Embark on an escapade in a natural area, dotted with a traditional past over a distance of around 5 km.
And don’t miss out on the Vélocéan cycle route!

La Brière and its barge trips
During your stay at the campsite in La Baule, don’t miss a visit to La Brière, less than an hour north of theLoire estuary. If you’re looking for adventure, take a barge into the heart of the marshes. Created in 1970, La Brière isone of France’s oldest regional nature parks. This wild territory covers 49,000 hectares! The Parc Naturel Régional de Brière boasts one of Europe’s most biologically rich wetlands. The aquatic environment is constantly evolving. These marshes exist thanks to the work of previous generations, who drew their livelihood from them. Embark on a tour of unusual discoveries aboard a barge (flat-bottomed boat). During this calm water trip, take the time to listen to and discover the nature around you. Sail to the rhythm of the water and the stories told by local enthusiasts.
Saint-Nazaire, its liners, its industrial site and its history
Less than 20 minutes from the campsite, take a stroll and discover the many mysteries of Saint-Nazaire. Discover the submarine l’Espadon: during its many years of service, it travelled the equivalent of 17 times around the earth!

- Villès-Martin: the beach in town. It’s easy to get there for a picnic or a lunch break. It’s one of five supervised beaches with showers.
- La Courance: the surfers’ spot. Soak up the sun on a sandy beach overlooking sparkling blue waters. It’s accessible to all and ideal for relaxing and enjoying water sports. It is also supervised.
- Grand Traict: a corner of the Mediterranean. A little corner of tranquillity for those who love quiet, unspoilt beaches. However, this tranquillity has to be earned, as the steps leading up to the cove are a little steep. What’s more, the beach is not supervised, so we advise you to be vigilant.
La Brière
La Brière is just a few minutes from La Baule and offers a complete change of scenery. This visit is a must during your stay in a mobile home in La Baule at camping Les Ajoncs d’Or! Less than a quarter of an hour from La Baule, discover lush green panoramas. The marshes stretch as far as the eye can see, and the reflection of the sky offers a gentle interlude. At La Brière, you’ll discover a diverse landscape: myriad canals, reed beds, meadows… Classified as a Regional Nature Park since 1970, La Brière is a must-see for your holiday in La Baule. The Park is a real ecological treasure trove, and you’ll be able to meet lots of birds and take in the sights.

As you stroll through the town, you’ll discover many different atmospheres. As you stroll through the small town of Piriac-sur-Mer, you’ll be pleasantly surprised to discover a rich and diverse heritage. Piriac offers a natural, architectural, literary and legendary landscape. Breathe in the sea air. Renowned for its healing properties, the sea air will do you a world of good during your stay at the campsite. Take a stroll and admire the old houses decorated with hydrangeas and colourful roses. Venture down the narrow streets of Piriac and lose yourself in this bucolic village. Follow in the footsteps of the famous writers who have stayed here.
