What is the ecological fee?

The campsite has been taking an ecological approach for many years and now wants to strengthen its actions. As part of our commitment to environmental responsibility, we are obliged to introduce this ecological fee. The fee is €0.69 per night and per person, enabling the campsite to take steps in this direction with the participation of everyone.

The introduction of this fee will, for example, help to finance the reprocessing of waste to increase selective sorting, increase the progressive mulching of flower beds and, in the years to come, the creation of various eco-responsible projects, such as the creation of a compost area and more economical water treatment. Providing maintenance teams with more environmentally-friendly products (eco-responsible toilet paper, green cleaning products).

Details and non-exhaustive examples below of the actions taken by the campsite to protect the environment and reduce energy consumption.

Waste treatment:

  • Sorting household waste (at the campsite entrance – check before removing bins)
  • Emptying the campsite bins (3 times a day)
  • Information for holidaymakers on posters
  • Installation of selective sorting bins
  • Individual selective sorting bin or bag
Green waste with shredded branches for mulching
  • Permanent collection of paper in the campsite (play area, water park, etc.)

Saving water:

  • Take care to save water
  • Timed taps in sanitary facilities
  • Water-saving sprayheads and showerheads
  • Low-pressure water heaters
  • Drip irrigation for planting
  • Timer for watering at night
  • Mulching to prevent evaporation and limit watering

Saving electricity:

  • Installation of load-shedding devices to limit peak consumption
  • Installation of energy-saving appliances

Gas management

  • Installation of propane gas, partly produced from biomass
  • Choice of eco-responsible suppliers

Maintenance

  • Use of environmentally-friendly cleaning products

Plans for ecological improvements in the coming years

  • Installation of solar panels (sanitary facilities and accommodation)
  • Recycling of swimming pool washing water for watering purposes
  • Installation of charging points for electric vehicles (car park and on certain pitches)
  • Installation of a compost bin
  • Obtaining the ‘clef verte’ label (grid attached) and linking the site to https://www.laclefverte.org/le-label/les-criteres-du-label-clef-verte/
